Choose a letter to practice cursive handwriting from A to Z.
This worksheet allows more room for writing the big letter J in cursive.
Capital J should be larger, but still clear, and the lowercase j should have enough room to curve underneath the writing line.
The bigger style of writing is more forgiving for this letter, as it can get cramped if the tail is too small.
The J can be slow and steady when curving at the bottom, then lifting back to the writing line, without stretching it to be too long.

The letter J is in fact a relative newcomer to the alphabet.
It used to be part of the letter I, before the two got separated.
This makes for an interesting history for the letter, and an extra reason to practice it!
Its cursive form retains some of the tail from the older letter I, and the lowercase j has its own tail at the bottom of the letter.
In cursive script, the letter J asks for a little extra control from the writer, with the need to curve the tail at the bottom for both the capital and lowercase letters.
The lowercase j also needs to have a dot placed above it.
