To make a capital letter O in cursive you need to make sure not to make it too narrow or too wide and keep a nice smooth motion while writing.

Kids will need to practice making small and neat lowercase o letters on the baseline.

The larger space also gives them a chance to make sure they keep an even motion while writing the O letters as cursive writing requires a smooth motion throughout the writing process.

If they make the oval too narrow their letter will look squished, while making it too wide will leave too much space before the next letter in their writing.
